Not Me Monday

As for me, Linnea, I did not wait until after 1AM on Tuesday to write my first Not Me Monday post. I am always very prompt.

I most certainly did not tell the hubs he could not waste any money on lunches out, coffees, etc. this week, and then go out to lunch while the kid was at school for Fun Friday. It was not 5 minutes after that discussion with the hubs. Nope. Not Me. I am always fair and just and most certainly would never waste money.

I did not offer McDonald's to the kid one day on the way to a birthday party because *I* wanted it. Never. My kid always eats nutritious meals. Not me! Especially when the drive-thru line was too long and the kid said forget it, I was not the one who drove to Taco Bell instead and offered him a red slushy drink. Not Me. I was not late for the birthday party because of this stop. I did not get myself a red slushy drink as well, and I did not drive down the freeway with the child's extra hoodie over my front, bib style, to avoid spilling red slushy on my white shirt. Nope, not me.

I did not stay up until 2:30 in the morning last night and did not let the child watch tv for 10 minutes when he came downstairs at 2:20AM. I would never. It was not Everybody Hates Chris and I was not secretly proud when they quoted the Diff'rent Strokes line "Whatcha talkin' 'bout, Willis?" and my 4 year old KNEW that quote.

I did not have a 4 year old wipe his boogers on my shirt. I did not take my shirt sleeve and wipe said boogers back on the boy. It. Was. Not. Me.
